Campervan questions/agriturismo/reservations

I have a campervan reserved for a week trip. Starting in Naples, heading east to avellino, and then south to Castroregio, and then west to the coast and back to Naples. We would like to do one or two agriturismo stays. As I understand, agriturismo is a farm stay? When I look at some of the listings on Google maps, and Agricamper app, some of the ones that are labeled "Agriturismo" look like restaurants or Inns. Because of that, and wanting to maintain a fluid schedule, I'm hesitant to book reservations.

My main question is since I'm traveling mostly throughout a rural region of Campania, and Basilicata, how important are reservations for these agiturismo stays? We wil be traveling the first week of May.

Reservations are generally essential both because of the time of year and because agriturismos are small operations almost w/o exception. The use of the term agriturismo is somewhat regulated but it is also a marketing label similar in use to 'organic'. As a result, you need to read reviews and published descriptions to determine if a place fits your preferences.

One website explains the three required parameters thus:
First: an agritourism is such if it dedicates at least part of its resources to the cultivation of agricultural products (cereals, vegetables, fruit), to the breeding of animals (cattle, sheep, pigs or other category) or to forestry.
The second requirement : agritourisms must be committed to the promotion and enhancement of the agricultural resources of the territory. In simple terms, those who manage an agritourism have the task of protecting nature and the environment, of safeguarding the traditions of the place, from both an agricultural point of view.
The third requirement, those who manage an agritourism must carry out activities and services that fall within the field of hospitality, that is, serving food and drinks, offering accommodation and so on.
