Campania Express - Naples to Sorrento

I will be in Italy later this in June. Taking the Campania Express (https://www.eavsrl.it/web/content/campania-express-2018-it) from Naples to Sorrento. However, we are stopping in Pompeii for a short day visit.

Does anyone know if I can buy a one way ticket straight through to Sorrento, get off the train at Pompeii, and then use the same ticket later in the day? Or do I need to buy two "legs" of tickets?

Also, where is the Campania ticket counter in Naples? I'm coming off the Frecciarossa bullet train from Termini in Rome.

Thanks!

You can not use the same ticket once you get off. You need two legs as the Campania express comes with a seat reservation. You can also take the Circumvesuviana from Pompeii as those are more frequent and It is a short ride from Pompeii to Sorrento.

The Campania Express ticket booth is downstairs next to the Circumvesuviana when you get off the train, It is real easy just look for the signs.

Personally I would just take the Circumvesuvianna - far more frequent at about a third of the cost. The C Express is not very frequent - two in AM and two in the PM. And if you get off it could be a long time till the next train. You would need to time your arrival from Rome to meet the C Express schedule.
