Does anyone know how to book tickets on the Compania Express from Naples to Sorrento? We have been on their website and have not had any success. We are travelling in June and need to book now. Also, do seniors from the U.S. qualify for a senior discount in Italy? Thanks. Bill in Sacramento, California
Check back mid-march. The site is not open for bookings yet.
There's really no need to book online. Just purchase at the station. Locals don't use this train as it's more expensive, basicly for tourists.

The only country we found when US seniors automatically qualify for discount is Spain. After that it is primary EU retirees. You can ask but don't be surprised with a no. I would not count on it. Contrary to all the bad press we found that the Circumvesuvianna works pretty well. Been on four times with no horrid story to tell. Got us there and back actually setting down.
We had success with senior discounts in England and Italy.
I don't think you'll qualify for a senior rate even if there is one; the booking page in English doesn't show a senior option. Still, 8 euros pp. for the trip is really inexpensive so I wouldn't sweat it! And yes, it's too early to book tickets, and I think you'd be fine just buying them at the station.
So few of these express trains run daily that I also wouldn't wait 2.5 - 4 hours between them should you miss one. We've take the regular Circumvesuviana as well and would do that versus kill a bunch of time at the station.

In France on TER trains off-peak is 25 pc off.
Scandinavian countries gave large Senior discounts on train tickets and transit passes when we were there. We found most countries in Europe give discounts to seniors from the EU countries.
France has senior discounts on SNCF -- just click on age 60+ during the booking process. I don't remember anything in Italy. We haven't been able to use Campania Express Naples-Sorrento because of the timing -- not having to wait around for two hours made Circumvesuviana look better.
Linda,
As mentioned in a previous reply you should be able to buy tickets after mid-March, when the service starts for the season. This website provides some information - https://www.sorrentoinsider.com/en/campania-express-train-schedule .
I don't know of any senior discounts but the tickets are relatively cheap so I doubt there would be a discount.
