Campania ArteCard Naples/Amalfi Coast

We recently used the ArteCard & it was a good deal! It even included the train down to Paestum. The Circumvesuvian train is included.

The transportation pass that comes with the ArteCard is supposed to cover the Naples airport bus, but confirm when you purchase it. Although I did not use the airport bus service, I found locals were confused as to what transportation was and was not covered. For example, the ticket seller at the Salerno train station was emphatic that it could not be used for the train to Paestum. Although I thought he was wrong, I bought a ticket to avoid risk of a stiff fine. I also thought the bus to Amalfi should have been covered, but was told it was not. Overall, the card was a good value and I saved money despite the confusion over transportation.

We spent four nights in Sorrento, making day trips to Naples and Pompeii. We priced the individual trips and compared to the card...cheaper to pay as you go...
