Campania Art and luggage storage in Naples

I'm planning to stop for 5-6 hours in Naples (on my way from Rome to Sorrento for 4 nights. I’ll travel by train from Rome to Naples and I plan to buy the Campania Art card, to visit Naples, which it come with 3 days worth of free travel and free/discounted entrance to the museums and sites. Does someone know if the 3 days of free travel of the Campania Art include the Circumvesuviana ticket cost to get everywhere? I.e. Naples to Sorrento, Sorrento to Pompeii, Pompeii to Sorrento, etc...
Also, does someone know if luggage storage is available in the Train Station in Naples and where it is located?

Thanks you!!

If you go to the website of the Circumvesuviana operator they have a page at http://www.vesuviana.it/web/en/CampaniaArtecard that says "From only 13 euros (8 euros for couples) organize your 3 or 7 days in Campania, traveling freely on the transport network..."

The Artecard gives travel on the Unico Campania network, and their website at http://www.unicocampania.it/index.php?lang=en&center=inside&colonna=turisti&action=costiera&banner=costiera says the ticket is "An integrated ticket that can be used to ride on SITA , EAVBUS and Circumvesuviana buses and trains..."

On page 727 of the 2009 Rick Steve's Italy book it says the card covers the Circumvesuviana. In 2007 I visited the area, bought the Artecard, and used it on all my trips on the Circumvesuviana.

There are different levels of the Artecard, be sure you buy the one that includes transportation in the entire region and not just the city limits of Naples. The 27E 3-day all-region card is probably what you're looking for.

Thanks Steve for the quick reply for the luggage storage.

For the ArteCard transportation question, when I read the Artecard website, it does said that the card allows use of the public transport service managed by Unicocampania? Circumvesuviana is not also manage by Unicocampania?

If your statement is correct, the card might not be as attractive if we stay in a place like Sorrento, whereas we would have to take the Circumvisuviana train to go back in Naples and Pompeii!

Andre, there is storage in Naples train station, follow the luggage sign when you exit the train, it is on the way to the subway line, very easy to find , they will take a photocopy of you passport, i think it was 5 euros per luggage, i did not see lockers, it is a luggage deposit. With the Artecard, the first two entries are free and then 50% off at all others. You get free transportation for 3 days (including the metro/subway in Naples). You can buy the Artecard at the train station there is a kiosk there not far from the tracks. The card will include all the places you have mention within 3 days. If you plan on visiting the Archeological museum in Naples, don't make the same mistake i did, it is closed on Tuesday's...if not we followed Rick's walk for Naples and we had a nice half day in Naples! Naples is nice, and definitely worth a stop! Bonne Chance!

Another question....

If I buy the ArteCard 'tutta la regione 3 days' that allows use of the Unico Public Transport, do I still need to get the Transportation tickets, at no cost, for Circumvisuviana, Naples Metro & buses, etc.. or just show my 3 days ArteCard?

In another word, does the Artecard will help me to save time to get Transport ticket or I still need to go to a ticket boot?

Thanks!!
