Camino di San Bartolomeo

Hello,

We are 2 travellers planning on doing the Camino di San Bartolomeo in mid April following this map:

https://www.wikiloc.com/walking-trails/cammino-di-san-bartolomeo-completo-da-fiumalbo-a-pistoia-22629201

and would like help solving a few questions:

1) Arriving to Fiumalbo from Pistoia, it seems there is only one bus and it happens mid day, is there any suggestions arriving to Fiumbalbo relativley early so the first day isn't wasted?

2) recommendations to booking accomadations on the way

3) any tips would be happily appreciated.

Thank you

I'm guessing you saw the response to your wikiloc post asking for your email and directing to this site: www.camminodisanbartolomeo.com

If this walk doesn't pan out, here are two other Italian websites with suggested itineraries. The trek from Bobbio to Pontremoli would have attracted me - a few decades ago.

Bus 54 from Pistoia with the one bus notes that they are on winter schedule - that's unlikely to change until school ends in early June, if at all. The town of Fiumalbo website notes there's a bus from Modena, but looking on the SETA website suggests it's only on Sunday at 7:30am with a transfer (bus 800 to 810).
