Anyone know where I can find phone cards here in Seattle to use in Italy once I set foot down. I need to call hotel for shuttle ride and I won't be using my T mobile. Help?
Don't buy one in the US, buy one at a tobacco store once you land. There will be one at the airport - tobacco stores are everywhere!
Monique, you can get a phone card that will work in Europe at Sam's or Costco or even Walmart. You can also get a card online directly from AT&T. Check out Prepaid Card. Other companies will give you better rates, but if all you are doing is calling your hotel for the shuttle, this is a simple solution. May I ask why you don't want to use T-Mobile, though? If your phone will work in Italy, that would be an even simpler solution. Sure, it will cost you a buck plus a minute for the call, but if that's all you use it for, it may be worth it.
Local calling cards will be cheaper than anything you can buy in the US.
