Calling all Airbnb'ers..Need Advice

Hi all,

I booked a Airbnb room for my October 18th to 21st trip. When I go to my reservation & click on the on my reservation, it shows the "name of the apartment" we rented. I wanted to click on the link to remind myself what it looks like & nothing comes up. When I click on the hosts listings, it shows four. Two of the four are unavailable. I don't recognized the other two.

I have until October 11th to cancel for a full refund. What would you do?? I know I can email them, but just curious if anyone has had any experience with this. Am I missing something??

Thank you.
Kate

We've stayed in Airbnbs dozens of times, with no experience like you describe. I'd certainly email the hosts, and maybe reread the reviews. It's good that you have plenty of time for a plan B, though hopefully that will not be necessary.

I've had the same experience. In that instance all it meant was that the host was not currently taking reservations for that particular location. All previously arranged reservations were still confirmed though. Have you tried reaching out to the host?

After making sure you are in your account (I have screwed that up), and click on Trips, can you click on View Itinerary, on the right top with the hosts picture on top of the accommodation picture? I can click thru on several places on the listings I have and go to either the main listing page or the host instructions that come once you are booked. If not, definitely contact AIrbnb and get them to check into it.

My Seville AirBnB hosts no longer listed the apartment I had rented about two months before my arrival. They were going to move back permanently, although well after my stay. A quick email to the hosts cleared it up.

Thank you all who answered. I was frantic last night because I knew it was too late to contact her. I was able to reach her and everything is good to go.

Thanks again.
