Some of you with lots of posts have recommended calling the museum lines direct (RS's #'s that he gives), but others have said it's so easy to have your hotel do it - is it just personal preference?
It's easier to have your hotel do it, if you feel they are reliable and will follow through. Easier because it saves you trying to get through, that line is often busy. The people I have given the # to in the last week or two here, they have not had hoteliers who would do it (renting an apartment, etc).
All of the hotels were willing to do it for me for a fee - 3 or 4 Euros.
Your hotel should do it for free if not book it yourself. There is a reservation fee of 4 euro per ticket for the Uffizi and the Accademia charged by the museum but there is no need to pay someone to make the reservation for you. The operators speak English.
Or, Door Number 3: you can do it yourself, on-line.
Thank you all ~ appreciated.
