We are planning on driving through Calabria, spending about 3-4 days driving through, on our way to Sicily. We're looking for some ideas of towns to stay in, either on the coast or off. Thanks!

Tropea is a nice little town on the coast. I wouldn't spend more than a day/night there though. Zambrone,near Tropea, has nothing.

Although technically not in Calabria - it's just a bit north - the picturesque seaside town of Maratea makes a great stop for a night or two. And it has an outstanding hotel, the Villa Cheta.
