Calabria, Italy

Has anyone traveled to Calabria Italy or would like to join me in planning a trip there in 2019? My dad came from that region and was told it is beautiful and the food fab! I would like to visit Pollino National Park and see all the beaches. I'm interested in finding Civita, the city on a mountain in Cosenza Region.

The next time we travel to Italy, we are thinking about Calabria also. We also want to go to the heel.

As far as Civita, unless there are two villages with that name, we went to it the past September, but it is much further north, above Rome, by Orvieto. It is a breathtaking view to see.

Civita is easy to find.
Just make sure you choose the one in the province of Cosenza because there are several towns in Italy called Civita.
In Latin, the Civitas was a community, later used to mean city. Civitas is the root of the word city in many languages:
Italian (città)
Spanish (ciudad)
Catalan (ciitat)
Portuguese (cidade)
French (Cité)
English (City)

And other words such as civilization, civil. Citizen, and more
