We really enjoyed our time in Castrovillari, but we were staying there, and also had a car. It’s more than a hundred miles northeast of Tropea, so I don’t know whether it’d be a “must to do” for you. There’s also not a direct link by train, so using public transportation, that would likely require a train and bus combination.
