Wanting your suggestions or favorites for coffee (macchiato drinker here) and spirits (cocktails) and mostly moderate (tho we do appreciate a worthwhile splurge) priced (€15-20 primi) osteria or trattoria dining done well in Florence. Plus, gelato, panini and aperitivo. Brief 5 night visit over US Thanksgiving week, staying near Mercato Centrale, visiting student living in Santa Croce near its wonderful basilica. My 3rd visit, last in 2019, and travel partner's 1st. Thanks in advance for your input!

We’ve always loved Kitsch (https://www.facebook.com/kitschfirenze/) near Borgo la Croce.
It’s super cute inside, with sort of glam, fun, yet elegant decor. They serve really lush Italian cocktails and spritzes and wine concoctions and also have a “happy hour” set price buffet, and I am having a TOTALLY senior moment and forgetting the word for that!!! Ack! Anyway, when we were last there a couple of years ago the food was €10 per person. It’s probably gone up since then. Sigh.
Anyway, it’s not expensive, it’s fun, and it’s rather romantic. And the drinks are excellent.
