Cafes near the Duomo OR the Accademia in Florence?

I am looking for recommendations of nice cafes near either the Duomo in Florence OR the Statue of David... Or anywhere between the two. Something nice, not too expensive. Someplace to have lunch. It would be a great plus if it were outdoors. Thanks for any suggestions.

Bar San Michele, near Orsanmichele church, not too far from the Duomo (but not near the Accademia), has the best focacia in the world! A small indoor/outdoor Italian bar. Address is Via Orsanmichele 10 Red.

We liked Zsa Zsa which has outdoor dining and tables are set with colorful linens--fun atmosphere. They do a good Riboletta if I remember correctly. ZZ is closer to the Duomo, within walking distance at least.

Hi Martha,

If memory serves me right, there are cafes like this everywhere! Each place also posts a menu with prices outside so it really is easy to just stroll down the street and find a place that you are looking for.

Martha,
ditto on Steven's reply. There are so many. You can easily check prices and menus and there's nothing wrong with checking out what people are being served. Duomo is great, but don't miss the Ponte Vecchio.
