I'm planning the last few details of a June trip to Rome and I am trying to buy tickets to follow the "Caesar Shuffle". Does anyone have recommendations for how to go about this? I'm very overwhelmed by the confusion around just getting a ticket for the Colosseum area. I always planned to do some kind of 'skip the line' tour for Colosseum, but now learning that the Colosseum includes entry to the Forum and The Palatine, I'm not sure if this is the most efficient way to go from a cost perspective.
I would like to do some kind of self-guided tour for the Forum and Palatine as opposed to having to follow a group. If anyone could share their experiences with this, how they navigated the ticket purchase, or recommendations for specific tours, I would appreciate it! Grazie mille!
