Anybody know cost of taxi from Naples port to train station?
I've taken this a few times over the past few years. The price changes regularly depending on traffic and construction obstacles. I think the cheapest was 10 euro, the most expensive was 20 euro. I tend to watch the taxi's meter so that I can be quicker when it comes time to pay and get out of the taxi. Yes, you pay to sit in traffic. But the fare always seems 'honest.' I certainly am not interested in walking, especially with my luggage!
Also a tram, I think - Tram 1, from the port to the train station -- it was just a euro a couple of year ago. It is easy to take.
Fixed rate taxi fares.

The other option is the Alibus, €5 takes about 20 minutes. Runs every 30 minutes.
Thanks to all for input on Naple's cab fares. I ended up paying €20 for the ride from Molo Beverello to train station--a 10 minute ride at most. This was for two passengers. Don't know if # of passengers matters. At the hotel, I was told it should cost about €10. When I mentioned that to the cabbie, he was adamant about €20. It wasn't the first time that happened to us the past week. Oh well, at least we made the train on time. THANKS AGAIN.
