My electrical device says if will handle 50/60Hz, and 1.0 A max. Is a plug adapter all I need?
It's the VOLTAGE that's critical. If it only says 110 volts, then you'll need a power transformer as well as a plug adapter. If it says something like 100-240 volts, all you need is the adapter. If in doubt, check with the manufacturer or the place you purchased.
