I'm trying to buy online tickets from Milan to Lucerne on SBB. I logged in with my Swiss Travel Pass account and I have passes for our family, but I'm not getting a discount for our passes. Is the discount only available if you purchase in person at the ticket counter?
If you have a Swiss Travel Pass 3, 4, 6, 10 or 14 day, your pass covers you 100% from either the border town Domodossola or Tirano to Luzern. You only need to buy tickets from Milan to either Tirano or Domodossola.
Here is the map of the are where the Swiss travel pass is valid.

When you get on the train in Switzerland you show the conductor the Swiss Travel Pass with either your passport or a copy of it.
There won't be any discount for the Italian portion unless you are lucky and get a super saver price which are limited in number.
Very helpful. Thanks, you guys!
I will take a stab and guess this will be in July. I am finding that it is only 6 CHF per person for the Italian section between Milan and Chiasso with Swiss Travel Pass if you take the RE 80 to Lugano and change there to a train to Luzern.
Be sure to check "GA Travelcard" in the discount box.
