buying train tickets ahead of time?

Hi there, My boyfriend and I will arrive in Rome at 3:30 pm next week, and from there we will head straight to Venice. We weren't sure if we should purchase our train tickets in advanced or just wait until we get there. (We will be coming from Moscow). Any thoughts? I was looking at the trenitalia website and the freccerossa trains cost about 80 euros right now, but I don't know if they will go up next week, and I am nervous about getting them ahead of time since we will be flying in from another country and there is always a possibility of the flight being delayed... thoughts???
Grazie!!

The base rate prices on Trenitalia won't go up. If you see "Economy" tickets available, those might disappear. At this point, you should wait to buy them when you get there.
