Buying Tickets to Accademia Gallery in Florence

Ive never had this before (buying tickets to many things in Italy) and Im wondering if its normal. The official site told me you have to buy tickets on b-tickets (does that seem right?). So I do and it will not let me press the plus sign for 2. I can only buy one ticket a time? Is that normal? that seems really weird to me. So I went searching for info on this and found a forum where many people talked about skipping this galleria. I really was only going for the David and this is one of the more expensive attractions. Do you you think it should be skipped? We aren't even really art people but I love beautiful buildings and the David is so famous.
Thank you for reading and any responses.

Yes, b-ticket is the official website for buying advance tickets to the state museums of Florence. Doing so eliminates the need to stand in what can be very long ticket lines at the most-visited of them.

No idea why you're having difficulty with the + sign unless there's only one ticket left for the time slot you're trying to purchase. I just tried to do a dummy purchase for 2 for an available time slot on a random date and didn't have an issue.

As far as whether to go or skip it is entirely up to you. I'm an art geek and enjoyed some of the other works in this museum but if you already have doubts about the price value of a look at the single sculpture, that may provide your answer. You might be fine with the reproduction in Piazza della Signoria, where the original used to stand.

OK thank you. Ill do some testing, check other days. It did let me do one for the 5-5:15pm slot and one for the 5:15-5:30p. I figure those overlap so it could work to.

And later in the day is so much less crowded (at least that's what our tour gal said...and what we experienced twice).
