I am taking a small group to Venice, Florence, and Rome in April. I want to pre-purchase entrance tickets for the Villa Borghese, Vatican Museum, Ufizzi, Accademia in Florence, and the Colosseum Underground. What is the best web-site for this? I want the tickets in-hand so that everyone on the trip know what the price is before we leave. Thanks.
Colosseum Underground: http://www.coopculture.it Vatican Museum: http://biglietteriamusei.vatican.va/musei/tickets/index.html Villa Borghese: http://ticketeria.it/ Uffizi & Accademia: http://www.firenzemusei.it/ Some sights only allow reservations 30-60 days in advance.
Great information from SamSn. For Venice, add the following for most museums plus vaporetto tickets: http://www.veniceconnected.com/Venice-Civic-Museums Also look at http://www.venice-museum.com/ Don't forget the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. It doesn't seem to be included in the above websites. Absolutely wonderful: http://www.guggenheim-venice.it/inglese/default.html
You won't be able to book any of the tickets for Rome sites until about 60 days ahead of time. Some of the sites offer even less advance purchase. Just keep checking the sites for when their tickets will go on sale. Donna
Have a look at www.viator.com
Viator is a re-seller and doesn't conduct any tours themselves. You'll need to do the research to find out who will be conducting the tour and then find reviews on that company. I would just stick with the official tours. They are great tours and go for the best price. No need to pay a middle man. Donna
