We are flying into Venice and I will need to call the property manager for the apartment we have rented so she can meet us at the vaporetto stop near the flat. Will I be able to purchase a SIM card for the mobile company TIM at the Venice airport or will I have to wait until I get to the city first? I have read they are recommended. Thanks!

I don't remember seeing a mobile phone store in the Venice airport! I've never seen one at any arrival point in any airport in Italy, as most of the "shopping" is at the departure areas for some reason! I've always bought one on arrival in the city I'm in.
I know there are sites recommended on her where you can get one before you leave, and I hope someone will "chime in!"
