Business trip in Milan with 2 non-consecutive days to spare

Heading out on a business trip to Milan next week. Was able to manage an extra day before and after the meetings. Arriving Linate airport afternoon of Sunday Jan 22 and flying out early Saturday morning Jan 28. So have Sunday afternoon, Monday and Friday for sightseeing. Is it worth venturing out to Lake Como for a day? Understand it's pretty cold this time of year. Wasn't sure if Milan was worth the full two days on its own or not. My first time to Milan (outside a train connection) so curious what others' thoughts are on this.

Check the weather forecast for Bergamo before you go. It's a beautiful city.

Milano has more than enough to occupy two days, in my opinion, if the day in Bergamo doesn't work out. The Duomo (go up to the roof), Galleria snd La Scala Opera House are in the same area; Leonardo's Last Supper, the Castello Sforzesco, Brera Museum, Naviglia neighborhood, world-class shopping are all nearby.

Lugano And Lugano Lake is very nice and trains depart from centrale every hour.
Lugano is in Switzerland, so you may pay in Euros but your change will be given in Swiss francs.
Torino is one hour train from Milan And it is very interesting.
Do not miss the Egyptian museum And Cinema museum.
Basilica Of Superga is also worth the visit.
Eat a lot Of chocolates And hot chocolate drink, best aperitivo in old cafes. Eat meat, cheese, porcini And white truffle.
Go And have a walk in the Torino collina ( la Maddalena) .

Milan is worth it for its Cathedral and Cathedral district and its fashion designers.

Another vote for Bergamo. It's charming. Still fairly undiscovered because it doesn't have any major attractions. It has a lovely main piazza.
