Buses on South of Italy Tour - What to Expect for Comfort

First RS Tour - Wondering about the comfort of the longer bus trips - space (2 seat for each member?), temperature (AC very high?), restroom (on all buses?). Thanks!

Because of the nature of RS tours, there's plenty of room on the buses and they're quite comortable with roomy seats that recline a bit. Temperature on board is normally at a comfortable level though for some tour members it will always seem too hot or too cold. Some buses have a toilet that's basically for emergencies. The buses stop every two hours so bathroom breaks aren't a problem.

Philip is exactly right-plenty of room and very comfortable bus rides. In my experience, the drivers and guides go out of the way to ensure everyone is comfortable on the bus and it's always educational to see what's at the next "comfort" stop. I think you will really enjoy this tour; so many unique experiences and the food/wine fabulous!

I believe that this itinerary uses the standard, large Mercedes touring coaches. You normally have the option to open or close an individual air vent above your seat, as on an airplane. The seat that you choose is normally yours for the day, so you can leave a sweater (etc.) there if you don't need it at stops.

Have not been on that specific tour, but on the 10 I have been on the bus is very comfortable with lots of space to sprawl out if you feel the need. While not always 2 seats for every person, you can always find 2 empty together if you really want or need them.

All of the buses have had drinks for purchase (sodas, bottled water, and depending on the country and bus driver beer and wine may be available all at very reasonable prices). The Scandinavian tour I took the bus driver also had hot soups (his homemade chicken soup was the best ever!), coffee, and various snacks also for purchase at low prices.

Restroom are on all the buses but are always for emergency use only -- and they really really mean this. But the bus stops at least every 2 hours for a break at places with (usually) very nice restroom facilities so it has never been an issue on any of the tours I have taken.

Last bus had WiFi on board and it worked very well -- better than in most of the hotels.

Temperature inside the bus can vary. Most Europeans don't seem to like AC, so sometimes we have had to ask for it to be turned on. But they are always happy to adjust as needed within reason.
