Even after reading several posts and the RS Sicily book, I'm not 100% clear on which bus company to look at for buses between Siracusa and Palermo. We have a short time in that area, flying in on Monday. We would be traveling on Wednesday and need to be back in Palermo by mid to late afternoon.
If you've had this experience and can point me in the right direction, thank you!
If there's a better way to go, I'm open to that too.
It’s a 3h15min trip. I’m not clear if you plan to visit Siracusa on a day trip from Palermo. They are not close.
The company is called Interbus (www.interbus.it). They run 3 or 4 direct buses a day.
There is also Flixbus, but I think they require a change in Catania.
We will be spending 2 days in Siracusa after arriving there from Rome. We then need to get back to Palermo by Wednesday mid-afternoon and based on what I've read, the bus is the most reliable public transportation way.

We took it from Palermo to Siracusa then back after four days, in 2023..
Booked online from home.
Careful drivers, and a 20 minute bathroom/coffee stop half way.
Very easy.
