Does anyone know how to get from Agrigento to Ragusa by bus?
It appears that Autolineesal runs relatively frequent buses from Agrigento to Licata. Some go on to Gela. The schedule is accessible via the first link on the webpage I've linked to. There are no buses on Sundays or holidays. I'm confused about the information I'm finding online about the second leg of the journey. There are some trains from Gela to Ragusa. Or perhaps buses operated by Trenitalia. I'm not sure you can connect at Licata, but folks at the bus station in Agrigento should know.
All-rail service is possible, through the interior, but it appears to take longer than the buses, and the trains seem to be less frequent.
Thank you so much for your quick response! Very much appreciated.
Judy,
If you have time, consider spending an overnight in Piazza Armerina in order to visit the amazing mosaics at Villa Romana del Casale.
Here’s that part of my trip report if you’re interested: Piazza Armerina and Villa Romana del Casale...
I didn’t visit Ragusa but did enjoy my short visit to Noto (via bus from Siracusa)
Enjoy your time in beautiful Sicily!
Pricilla,
Thank you so much. I only joined this forum a few days ago and the interesting thing is that I already read some of your posts. Those in turn lead me to your dear friend, Zoe's posts. Her love of travel and her sincerity shine through all of her writings. You must miss her terribly, but you are keeping her very much alive as you introduce her to fellow travelers. I enjoyed your Piazza Armerina writings and will try to fit that in. I'm trying not to put too many stops in our itinerary as my husband will undoubtedly be travel weary by then. Thanks again, Pricilla.
