Bus Stations in Rome

My parents (age 73, 75. Active) would like to take a bus Rome to Termoli. They will be landing in Fiumicino and staying in Rome for 2 nights. I'm debating where to get them a hotel; next to Triburtina , Anagnina bus station or from the airport if possible. Since they are staying the 2 nights, I'd ideally like them to be close to the station, in a safe area, with some restaurants. Looking for hotel suggestions and which station to use? Thank you!

I wouldn’t stay near Tiburtina

Choose a hotel in the historic center-near Pantheon
Have hotel call a taxi to take them to bus station

They can also go to Termoli by train, from the Termini station (via Foggia or via Pescara).
While visiting Rome I wouldn't stay near Tiburtina. It's not dangerous or bad, but not convenient to visit the sights.

3rd opinion to not stay near Tiburtina. It's ugly, all residential high-rises, light industrial and near major highways. I don't know the Anagnina bus stop but I assume it's similar. Find them something in the Centro storico or maybe Trastevere so they can enjoy Rome.

If they are active as you say, 75 is nowhere near too old to take the metro if they can find a stop near their hotel. There is a metro stop on line B right at Tiburtina. I find the metro very easy to use - no need to buy a ticket, just tap a credit or debit card or phone wallet at the turnstile. Taxis can be a pain to find at the taxi stands, unless of course the hotel calls one for them, and then it may take much longer and will cost more than the metro.

You know them best as to whether they would be comfortable with the metro and their (hopefully small) luggage. Just offering an alternative.
