I just read about a possible transit strike Oct. 21 which is when we have to get to Civitavecchia from Rome for a cruise.We usually take the train service but if by chance there is a strike that day just wondering if Bus would be a better idea.

Generally a lot of strikes are announced but few happen. And even with a rail strike, it is not a 100% so there should be trains to Civit.... If a strike actually occurs, I would hit Termini at 8am and grab first train headed that way. Most will be Regionale trains.
