Searching for bus schedule from umbertide to Gubbio
Given the two places there might not be much of a service. But it looks like EO55 runs the route a few times. Try here and click Perugia in the extraurban bus section
http://www.fsbusitalia.it/fsb/L'offerta/Linee-regionali/Umbria
Nominally it has an English version, but in practice not.
Though not the best site by any means, we planned regional buses using this site http://www.umbriamobilita.it/it
Thanks for the info, only problem is the websites are in Italian.
Linda, if you are going to these off the beaten path places, best to learn some basics! Most schedules can be "read" because they are the same the world over--time, place name. With Google translate, you should be able to suss out the rest. But again, be sure to learn simple phrases like days of the week and such.
Rome2rio.com indicates that there are at least two buses a day (route E055), that it's 18.8 miles and takes 39 minutes on the bus at a cost of $2-4. It leaves from Via Unita d'Italia in Umbertide and arrives in Via Teatro Romano with 12 stops in between. Or you can take a taxi, which takes 30 minutes and costs $65-85. There is a also a link to the bus website, which brings up www.fsbusitalia.it
Under the photos on the home page, click on Linee Regionali (Regional Lines). Click on Umbria. Under Servizio Extraurbani, click on Orari (timetable) bacino di Perugia and scroll down to Linee E055. Click on that, and the schedule will come up.
There are buses at 7:05 a.m. and 14:22 p.m (both Monday-Saturday, but the latter only on days when school is in session; if school is not in session, then it leaves Umbertide at 14:50). No buses on Sunday.
Have fun!
