My family of 5 has three nights reserved in Milan, in the middle of our two weeks
in Switzerland. The trip is in just a few weeks. I’ve realized that the trains around Milan are with alternate bus routes due to track improvements. Several of my kids (a teen and tween) are prone to motion sickness in vehicles, and I wonder if the bus routes will be too unpleasant for them. We are reconsidering whether we want to do Milan at all now. Original itinerary is Luzern-Milan-Zermatt. Milan is to be 3 nights, with intended side trip to Lake Como. Any thoughts on whether the bus routes that connect Milan to Lake Como area and to Domodossola are particularly winding or possibly challenging for individuals with motion sickness? Or does anyone have other clever ways to spend 3 days between Luzern and Zermatt (assuming I can find accommodations)?
For reference, current itinerary is Zurich, Luzern, Milan, Zermatt, Wengen, Bern.
