I will be staying four nights in Sorrento and three nights in Ravello. Does anyone recommend that I purchase the ArteCard Campania or some other card? While in Sorrento we will be going to Pompeii for a day and Naples for a day. While in Ravello, we will be going to Positano, Amalfi and maybe some smaller towns in addition to Ravello.

The ArteCard may be the most confusing of all the confusing passes available in Italy. You need to really pack your days with sites to make it pay for itself. There is, as I recall, a separate transportation pass, but you have to work out the # of trips you will take to see if it makes sense. With the bus up-and-down from Ravello and Amalfi, it might just make sense. You really have to pencil it out on paper by estimating the trips you plan to take and how much the normal fares are.
