Rome2Rio recommends the bus to Siena (in November) but I have read it is confusing. I speak no Italian. Which option is better? We will have carry on and a back pack each. I searched this topic, but all I found is that the bus doesn’t leave from the autostazion. That makes me more confused. Is the bus stop in Siena near the train station?
Thanks,
Janet
Bus. Station easy to find. Taxi took us there. We speak no Italian and had no problem. Not crowded like train was and scenic route.\ Bus stop in Siena is not near train station so will need taxi to take to train station. Siena center is walking distance from Bus stop
The easiest way is to take the SITA bus from Florence to Siena. It's about an hour and a half ride and the buses leave the station on a regular basis. You can catch the bus at the SITA bus terminal at via Santa Caterina da Siena, 11, 50123 Firenze FI. https://www.sitabus.it/en/florence-siena-bus/
Be sure to choose the rapida option which is a bit quicker getting to Siena.
Thanks for the advice. It looks like the bus is a better option once we get to Siena also, we are staying near the town center. Y’all were very helpful.

There should be a toggle switch somewhere on the link that Rome2Rio sent you to - typically a little UK flag - so you can read the schedules in English.
Do you have to buy the bus tickets in advance? Do they sell out in June?
We took the bus. We also had a backpack plus luggage. We took the train from Venice to Florence, then had a nice lunch near SM Novella, then took the bus to Siena. It was easy.
