If I use rome2rio.com for Vicenza->Bolzano it says there's a direct bus taking 1 hour 15, or two trains taking 3 hours 8.
Does anybody know where I can find out more info about this bus, where/how to buy tickets etc, where exactly it departs from.
On rome2rio it doesn't give a bus number it just says "Vicenza Viale Milano", searching for that phrase doesn't yield any useful results.
I don't think 1 hour and 15 minutes is real. It is 205 km by Autostrada (fastest way), so unless you can drive nonstop at a steady 165 kph (102 mph), it will take longer. That is significantly faster than the legal limit on the Autostrada.
The fastest rail journey, if you use Trenitalia.com rather than the questionable Rome2Rio app, it is 2 1/4 hours.
Hmm, I'm not seeing that option but maybe I'm missing something. Viale Milano is the location of the bus station in Vicenza.

And Sam has a good point. Given the distance, I'd question if it's possible to get there in that amount of time.
