I am staying at the Grand Hotel Majestic in Verbania and will need to take the alibus to Malpensa. Can anyone tell me specifically where the bus stops and how the stop is marked (e.g., photo of a sign, maybe?). I have had no luck finding this info, other than "Gramsci". Many thanks for any help!
If you don't get a response here, try emailing your hotel.
Did you check on google maps if there is a Gramsci square or a Gramsci Street in Verbania-Pallanza?
If it's a square, I bet there is a bar and/or a tobacconists next to the bus stop, to purchase tickets and make such questions.
The village is tiny, you should be able to discover it either "walking around" on google's street or asking a few minutes before leaving for Malpensa.
It looks like there are 3 different stops - Intra, Palanzza and Suna - depending on which is closest to you. Yes, I would just ask at your hotel or call/email the tourist office:
Via Ruga 44 (Museo del Paesaggio courtyard), Verbania VB
(+39) 0323 503249 / 556669
turismo@comune.verbania.it

Office open Monday to Saturday 9.30-12.30/15.00-17.00
Additionally, it looks like you must reserve your bus seat in advance.

Thank you all. I have done google maps and also emailed the hotel. I guess I will figure it out when I get there!
If you go on the Alibus website and click on "all info in English (211kd)"[blue letters], on the bottom of the pink rectangle (top right of webpage), you will get a pdf file with more information as to the location of the bus stops.
This is what it says for the bus stop in Verbania Pallanza:
The starting bus stop is on Via Castelli near the 'Cinema Sociale'.
Hope this helps :-)
Here is Piazza Gramsci on google map.
I'm sure your hotel will be able to direct you to the location of the bus stop.
Thank you all. I very much appreciate the help!
