I'm thinking about buying refundable bus tickets just in case their is a train strike.
A quick Google search, brought me to Itabus. Are they somewhat equivalent to Trenitalia, but for buses?
If not, can anyone recommend a bus company I should use?

I’ve used FlixBus numerous times in Italy and other countries. Never had a problem, reasonably on schedule, comfortable ride.
Why borrow trouble? Or spend money that may not be necessary? If there is a strike it will be announced in advance so you can make any necessary changes.
I did this exact journey and both posters are correct. Flex bus is great and strikes are announced in advance.
