Bus From Naples to Herculaneum

Hello,
I am in planning stages of a trip to Herculaneum from Naples in either end November beginning December. We will have seniors with us who walk slowly with a cane. Upon reading many comments here it seems that from the train station it is a long downhill walk to the entrance. (And uphill on return.) I am wondering if there is a Bus from Naples to Herculaneum that drops you at the entrance? Are wheelchairs available for rent as well? Any recommendations in regard to group or private tours are also welcome :) grazie

Cheers

Are you asking about wheelchairs for the park? I highly doubt they do as it is not wheelchair friendly. There are uneven surfaces and curbs that could be difficult for a mobility challenged person. Even pushing a stroller through the area would be extremely difficult.

Hello,
Thank you, Christine. Upon reading the bus link has no clear information in regard to where you get the bus in Naples or where it goes if even it goes to Herculaneum. I emailed them hopefully someone will answer. If anyone on this forum has taken a bus there please comment or send me a pm thanks

Allan- while this is true for Pompeii - not true for Herculaneum.
Herculaneum is accessible- at least some of it is.
