I have heard about a bus from Assisi to Sorrento and was wondering if anyone has used it? we are going in March and thought we'd give it a try. Or what about buses in general? there might be one from Sorrento to Rome too? thanks, cheri

Cheri, there used to be a bus between Rome and Santa Maria degli Angeli which is the town adjacent to Assisi. It's also where the Assisi train station is located. I don't see it any more but I do see one bus a day between Rome and Perugia.
From the bus station across the street from the Roma-Tiburtina train station, Marozzi has one bus a day from Rome to Sorrento. It departs at 15:00 and arrives at 19:00. I believe there may be a second bus per day during the summer months. Curreri also had such a bus run but they didn't run year round. Plus, their website has completely changed. I can't see the Roma/Sorrento runs anymore.
