Does anyone know if it is open again? One website said open in fall 2008, one said October 2010.

I've done further research-looks like it won't open until October. I guess this just means I will have to return one more time to Venice as my next trip is in June. E un peccato!

I do not know about the lace museum, but we spent a nice afternoon there 2 years ago wandering around. I found a bunch of old ladies who reminded me of my mother.
The island is becoming more popular, but still off of the beaten track.
