Buon Natale!

Merry Christmas to everyone on the forum! May next year give us the travel opportunities we each cherish. Until then we still have this place to plan, counsel, dream, laugh, sniffle and hope. For many of us, we are parted from friends in Italy that we have grown close to over many visits. For many, your discoveries of the marvels of the Italian culture and people must wait.

But above all, I wish safety, health and happiness to each of you and your loved ones. Maybe when we can travel again we will meet in person overlooking the Bay of Naples, sitting along the Piazza Nanova, dancing in Saint Mark's square, in a terribly long line waiting to get into St. Peter's.

Read this after watching Christmas in Rome, a cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie as I am desperate for travel shows. The scenery made up for the cookie cutter storyline. Rich American female tour guide shows workaholic American man how to relax and enjoy life.

Now if I could just afford to live in the center of Rome on a tour guide salary and be able to walk around there wearing three inch heels.
