I need a recommendation for a budget hotel in Milan.I DO NOT need anything fancy!!! Just a place to sleep for one night NEAR the shuttle to MXP...thoughts?

Two shuttles to Malpensa: One from Cardona station (train) and one from Centrale (bus). How early is your flight?

It is a 10:20 flight so I would want to be at airport between 8 and 8:15. So assuming that works my next question is do you know of basic (9nexpensive) hotels near the shuttle stops you mentioned. THANK YOU for your help!

About 2.5 blocks from Milano central is The Best Hotel, yes that is the name it is prob a 2 star ck there website. I stayed there and it was alright.

We stayed at the Best Hotel in Milan too--it's not THE BEST but for one night to be near the train station it was o.k. Just 2-3 blocks from the train station.

Hi Amanda, We stayed at the Hotel Berna in Milan. Short walk from/to train station to board bus for Malpensa, comfortable room and great breakfast. Prices vary a great deal depending on season. We booked on Venere.com

Thanks everybody!!! I acutally just booked at Hotel Berna...actually before I saw the entry about it...my main concern was clean (no bugs!), safe and easy to the airport and this fit the bill so I grabbed it. I am looking forward to my trip!
