Brunelleschi's Dome Climb Tickets

We are headed to Florence and plan to do the Brunelleschi's Dome climb. I know that my husband and I need to purchase tickets for ourselves to do this, but do I need tickets for my kids who are 14 and 17?

If they need tickets, are they the reduced price tickets for 3 euros pp or full price at 18 euros pp?

Thank you in advance

I just read the post of a forum member whose husband is there (Florence);now. The museums are pretty empty.
So, you may have a very different answer "now" compared to busier times.

Typically, in June and July, you should reserve more than a few days in advance.
But now-days you may be able to get a time to climb just by walking up. (Meaning, you're getting a spot of a no-show)

We are going in the beginning of July, so a much busier time which is why I was thinking I should purchase them ahead of time to get the time we want.

thoma099, I would definitely purchase your tickets ahead of time if traveling during high season. Looking at the website, cumulative tickets appear to become available abt. 2 months out (currently available through May 1) See the calendar on this page of the site:

Make your mandatory cupola reservations at the same time you purchase your tickets.
