Break between the Uffizi and Galeria Dell'Accademia?

Unfortunately for my itinerary I visit Florence on a sunday and monday. Since these museums are closed on mondays I had to book both on the same day. I have a reservation for the Uffizi for 13:30, and the Accademia for 17:00. I plan to spend about 1,5-2 hours max at the Uffizi, since that's all I can take in one single go and I don't want to overloard myself with art. So I'll have about an hour break between them to clear my head for the Accademia. For now I'm thinking about relaxing at Piazza della Signoria or della Repubblica. Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Piazza deal Duomo has a few restaurants where you could grab a beverage and enjoy the scenery.

You could walk to the Accademia the long way, starting with a westward stroll along the Arno.

There is a really good gelato/granita shop near Academia where you could pick up a treat on the way: Caribe. Best granita in Florence IMHO.

We had a similar itinerary last July, visiting the Uffizi during the morning hours and Accademia later that same afternoon. In between, we found the perfect 'sorbet' to be a visit to Mercato Centrale where we had lunch and poked around the various shops. Ended up buying some really old (but good!) balsamic vinegar... it was a fun respite from Renaissance 101. :)
