Bravofly

On this website, Rick had advised to use Bravofly to secure flight in Italy. I used the site, and they gave me wrong flight. Calling back 4 days ago, they insisted I made the error(obviously PCs never do) despite the 2 flights being one on top of the page and one near bottom. they still have not confirmed the changed flight, yet have charged my credit card. Any advice?

I never heard of Brovofly until now. Looking through the Helpline, I see several people say to be careful using them. Where did you see Rick himself recommending Bravofly? And what do you mean by one flight on top of teh page and one near the bottom?

When I came to the page listing flights, the flight I wanted and the flight they gave me(claimed I clicked) were several inches apart. I contacted my credit card company, which has put a hold and is disputing the charges if they don't refund the entire amount with my cancellation.
I don't remember where I saw it here; I believe I was taken there when I clicked a link here.

I've done a search of the website and see no reference by Rick to that company. I do see two posts long ago where people are warned away from using them, and two posts by posters long ago encouraging use of them - both of whom had few other posts.

The links posted here on the Helpline are by volunteers, not rick. You need to be cautious in clicking on them. I hope you get some resolution to this problem. It is hard to prove you did not "click" on a flight by mistake (frankly, my husband does it all the time, which is why I won't let him book flights!). But if you contacted your credit card company right away, and disputed the charge for a cancelled flight, hopefully it will be refunded to you. Good luck.

DONT BOOK w Bravofly.
On March 15, 2012 I booked on-line the flight to Prague, one week later I changed my mind (my plans have changed) and I tried to cancel my order. For my great surprise it turned out that cancel the order on-line is impossible. I have long phone calls with company representatives, but also today I cannot cancel my order and get money back. Bravofly service is the one of the worse and bad I know.

I thought I'd for everyone...I went viral on the internet about them and refused to respond to any of their emails with their lies with acceptance. I filed with all kinds of consumer agencies. They are a Swiss based company, however, so they are immune to any of this. They are NOT immune to bad PR. In February, I finally received a call from a gentleman with a British (albeit Cockney) accent, who agreed to them refunding my money. They had already done so, If I agreed to recant my internet c/os. I said, sure, if I could (some sights do not let you). I had received the refund already AND an email from their 'legal' department threatening to sue if I did not remove. Of course it wasn't worded as such, but it was clear. I told the gentleman that I was threatened and I know that it would not be possible for them to sue me as a US citizen speaking the truth, not libel. He said 'of course we would never sue you'. DUH. Anyway , the most I did was amend my c/os that I had been refunded. Sometimes the squeaky wheel does get the grease! In any event, if anyone does their due diligent research before using them, they will find my, and MANY other, complaints!
