We will be in Rome at the end of November and were thinking about a day trip to Bracciano. A few questions. Is this area worth exploring at this time of year? I have read about the lake and beautiful water/beaches and the water sports, but at this time of year this won't be something we would take part in, so wondered if it was worth it. Also, the town of Trevignano sounds like something we would want to see if we made this trip, but I just can't see how to get from Bracciano there and then back. We would catch a train from Rome to Bracciano and back that evening, so trying to figure out how to make Trevignano as part of our day trip. Are there Taxis that make this ride? We had difficulty getting a taxi in Siena last summer to take us a bit out of town to a vineyard, so worry that this might be hard here too. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
