I spoke to the nice people at Through Eternity Tours and they tell ,me that the only tours are the private ones for $239.00 per person.
Any ideas out there? Oscar from Roseville

Are you not finding tickets or are you looking for a tour?

If it’s the latter, I would read about the items that interest you, in advance, and listen to the audio guide from the Galleria Borghese. I’m sure the firm you contacted provides lovely, useful tours but that is expensive. We all have different ways of participating in our travel experiences and so if you want a tour and you’ve researched it and think it’s suitable (and in budget), go for it. I’ve been to the Galleria Borghese 4 times and enjoyed it every time without a fancy tour.

Oscar, can you explain why you went to them versus the official Borghese website? Did you already try that and they didn't have any tickets? Do you need an escorted tour versus just visiting on your own?

Oscar, you mention in another post that your trip isn't until November. You have lots of time yet to order regular-entry tickets so just check into the site now and again for when those become available.

Ticketing info on the Borghese's website:
https://galleriaborghese.beniculturali.it/en/visita/info-biglietti/

Their official ticketing outlet:
https://www.tosc.it/en/artist/galleria-borghese/

But are you specifically looking for a guided tour versus doing it on your own? Did you know that the museum itself offers guided tours in English for just €8 plus the cost of the entry ticket? No need for the very expensive one offered by Through Eternity.

Just FYI: This is one of the Italian websites I can have difficulty pulling up during the hours when the museum is closed. It IS the official site; just give it time to come up, if it's a little slow, or try during the museum's open hours, Rome time.

We just were here. I bought tickets for a guided tour through the museums website about six weeks out. It seems to be down a lot so you have to have some patience. I can’t remember exactly how much I paid but 23 euros comes to mind. I know it was less than just tickets from other sites. The tour was very good.

I am aware that it sounds arbitrary and academic to (appear) to snarl at misspellings posted here. But on the internet (for example, in a Google search), you are delivering yourself into the hands of third-party resellers and outright crooks when you do that. By "the only tours", I'm sure they mean "OUR only tours."

Museums that only give you two hours with the art are unusual. For some people, that means "I need a tour". For me, that means, "I want to control my own timing."

Beth, your memory served you well! I just checked the ticketing site and the cost of a combined adult ticket + tour is €23. (€ 15.00 entry + € 8.00 tour). There is also a € 2.00 booking fee so a total bargain price of € 25.00 pp. What's not to like? :O)

Very good to know that you enjoyed the tour!
