Boston Pizza

I am trying to locate a restaurant/pizzeria in Italy called Boston Pizza.

Now, before you start screaming it's not real pizza, or why would you want it, I'm not planning on eating there. I'm just trying to find out if anyone knows of of this place, where it is, if it is a one off or a chain.

I know there is a small chain called "Boston Pizza" in the Barcelona area.

Frank II,

Where did you hear of this restaurant? We have a chain of restaurants here in Canada called Boston Pizza, which has a related chain operating in the U.S. & Mexico called Boston's. One of their franchise locations is here in Vernon. In my travels around various parts of Italy, I've never seen or heard of a Boston Pizza there.

Good luck with your search.

Boston Pizza is a Canadian chain, with some locations in the US too.

There are three "Boston Pizza" restaurants in Barcelona, but the logo is different and they appear to be unrelated to the Canadian chain ( very different menu and style).

I very much doubt you will find one in Italy.

Boston Pizza is a Canadian-owned company and as far as I can tell from googling, has franchises in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. The head honcho is Jim Treliving so you might research his name to see if there is an Italian connection. There are over 300 Boston Pizza locations in Canada so it's a big outfit.

Yes, there is a chain of restaurants in Canada, and the U.S., called Boston Pizza.

There is also a small chain or pizzarias in Spain called Boston Pizza that is not associated with the ones in Canada.

I'm trying to find out if anyone knows of a Boston Pizza in Italy,

(I've seen a short video of some college students eating a pizza from a box with the name "Boston Pizza" on it. They were speaking Italian and it was definitely a European apartment. The challenge to me is to try to figure out where the video was shot. It's a game I play with some friends.)

Frank, what was it about the apartment that said 'definitely European apartment' to you? Is it possible that it was an apartment in one of the more European-like cities in Canada? Montreal, Quebec, etc.

Electrical outlets were definitely European.

Timecode on one of the videos was GMT+1

Clearly this video was made at one of the many movie studios in Vancouver, British Columbia. The film was set in Italy, the scene in an apartment. This film was in Italian, and they got everything right, right down to the electrical outlets and timecodes. But they screwed up with the pizza box, and you sure caught them cold, Frank II! Nice work.

Frank II,

Could you provide a link to the video? Is it on YouTube?

No, the video is private and has not been posted to the net. Therefore, I can't share it.

I watched it again and the audio is very faint. It is possible that they are speaking Catalan instead of Italian but I'm pretty sure it's Italian.

Of course, it could be Italians living in Spain.

Unless one of our Italian forum members knows of the pizza place, I'm going to guess Barcelona.

We eat a lot of pizza all over Italy. I have never run into this chain, if that's what it is. Unfortunately, Dominoes is opening here, though.
