Borghese tickets

We will be in Rome late October and have been monitoring the Borghese Gallery website to purchase tickets. For at least two weeks now there are no options for reserved entry beyond Oct 5. We wish to go the 24th. I have refreshed my browser page daily, closed the page and started fresh and still nothing beyond Oct 5. Any suggestions on how to make timed entry reservations? I'm thinking maybe I'm missing something.

Tickets are currently available through October 20th…you are only looking at September which shows availability through October 6th…you need to click on October to see the dates through October 20th. I am thinking the rest of October dates and early November dates should open up soon.

Also, consider user another browser. I found when booking tickets through Italy that different browsers (and different credit cards for that matter) worked better (or not) when booking.

For example, I wound up using a card I very seldom use to book the Borghese and elsewhere because the cards I regularly use just never got accepted.

And I used Mozilla, Google, Duck, and Edge to get through...

Thanks! That was my problem, not realizing I could scroll to the next month. Simple solution, that's what I was hoping for.
That's the beauty of these forums!

So glad you were able to see the later dates! Hopefully reservations for the second half of October will be up soon.

Any ideas on why they sell out so fast and what other options there may be?

Now all but a few select times the week of October 15th are sold out—with nothing available early October, and nothing even for sale Oct 22nd on. I fear I missed my one day window to snap up tickets in between being opened up on the website and sold out...

Any recs for reputable tours or other sources? (Do they still allow walk-ups?) Willing to pay a bit more for entry, but certainly not 3x sticker price to a scalper.

The Borghese sells a limited number of tickets for each time block and clears each group out before the following one is admitted. It's a very good museum but not physically large. They keep the viewing experience pleasant (though not totally uncrowded) by limiting the number of people in the gallery at the same time. I think tickets sell out virtually every day. At busier times of year--which October is--tickets can sell out shortly after they are placed on sale.

I believe I've seen comments here about a few tickets possibly being available for day-of visits. If I wanted to try for one of those, I'd go to the gallery shortly before opening time and be prepared to accept a ticket for entry at whatever time I was offered that day.

In the meantime, I'd check the website daily (or more often if I thought of it) just in case some tickets are released. Doing that can't hurt.

I keep checking for November to go on sale, but it's been stuck at October 20th for a long time. Anybody know when they open up another block of dates?

We are waiting for tickets also…late November/early December. Tickets used to go on sale about 60 days in advance (10 days in advance for Free Sundays), but recently they have been releasing tickets at random times…no rhyme or reason to the release dates.

So it is best to just keep checking the ticket calendar…hopefully the second half of October (and November) will open soon.

Just coming back to post the reply I got from the Borghese yesterday, Sept. 27. Guess we all just have to keep checking!

Dear valued guest,

We are waiting for the new calendar, there is not a precise date for the announcement. Please check the web site www.tosc.it and contact us in the next days, we will be pleased to help you with your reservation

We are hoping to go late in late November/early December, so I guess that I will still have to wait a bit for those tickets.

wn.randy I hope you were able to get your tickets. We want to go on December 26. I am expecting it to be a popular time since we want the English tour in the afternoon. I check daily for the release of tickets but know I have a while to go. Since we have tickets to the Jacquemart-Andre Museum in Paris on January 4th, where items are on loan from the Borghese, we'll also be able to see those.

Yes, thanks we got our Oct 24 tickets for our preferred time after diligently checking daily for weeks!
Persistence paid off. I was thinking something was wrong with my browser.
Have a good trip, our journey has started with a visiit with old friends in Copenhagen this weekend.
Safe travels to all!

Happy to report that we, too, booked our tix for an Oct. 24 visit. Now we have the hassle of traveling with a iPhone and no way to print the tix. Unless ... Wondering will the Borghese accept the ticket codes as shown on the phone?

No need to print Borghese tickets. It said that on their site, but we used our phone no problem.
Some displays have been moved, but we still found it glorious. We did an evening time slot (rare) but the disadvantage is missing the gardens

You can now purchase tickets up to and including February 9, 2025! For the longest time it was only November 17 then access took a huge leap. I was able to purchase mine for the end of December. Finally!

We finally got our tickets for end of November! I'm assuming the 2nd floor is still closed? Either way, I'm excited to show my kids some Bernini sculptures.
