Borghese reservations

Trying to reserve ticket at galleriaborghese.it, It lists dates, times and price which all match Rick's description, but it says "book the time and we'll chose the best seats" at the top. What is this? Is this how the reservations are made? Need to so quickly, so would appreciate any replies.

You can ignore the reference to seats. The company handling reservations may also handle performances, for which seating would be relevant. The Borghese Gallery takes their reservation times very seriously, and you can only stay in the gallery itself for two hours, then they shoo you out and let in the next group. Be sure to arrive at least 20 to 30 minutes before your reservation time to pick up your ticket, check your camera and bag, etc. Outside of your two-hour period, you can visit the bookshop, snack bar, etc.
By the way, the Borghese Gallery is just one building in a large and beautiful park, well worth walking through and spending some time. The park is generally used by local folks and families enjoying the great outdoors.

When you check your bag, if you want to keep small irems with you, they will give you an opaque plastic bag. After your visit and some time in the park, follow the signs for Pincio and you will end up on a terrace with views of Rome. Take the footpath down to Piazza del Popolo.
