Borghese Reservations

I'm leaving on 3/20 and had my B&B make my reservations. They just emailed me my confirmation code. You could do the same, ask your hotel, b&b to call themselves and make reservation in May.

I forgot about that method. I'll give it a try.

Well, my hotel says to go through ticketeria.it, and Ticketeria advises that reservations for May will open after April 20th. So much for making reservations months in advance! What am I missing here?

is there a reason why you need a reservation so far in advance? I haven't read anything saying that that kind of advanced reservation is necessary. I'm going in May also and was planning to do it a week or two before leaving home. Maybe that's incredibly stupid on my part LOL

I don't remember the source (might have been here, maybe not). If it's not necessary, all the better. It wasn't clear in their response to me whether just tickets or both tickets AND reservations were only available beyond April 20th. I may just call them to clarify.

I had my b&b make the reservation b/c I am using my romapass for the entry fee. If your not, then go ahead and purchase through ticketeria after April 20 but they may charge an additional fee.

Ticketeria is the official online booking site for the Borghese Gallery. I believe they only charge a 1euro booking fee per ticket, which is typical. The Borghese Gallery only accepts reservations a few weeks in advance, even if you call.

The last poster is correct, you cannot make reservations more than a few weeks in advance. While tickets do sell out, if you reserve at least a week ahead you'll be fine.
