Any ideas on who to book for interesting/fun Borghese tours in mid August for 3 adults and a 15 year old girl?
Gianluca was our local guide for a one week cultural tour of Rome. He is a licensed guide and also specializes in art history (I forget which epoch). Extremely knowledgeable and receptive to travelers and their interests. I don't know if he has his own website but you can also find him here: https://www.facebook.com/gianluca.farris.3
Hope you have a wonderful trip!
From your post , I am unsure whether you are asking about The Villa Borghese Gardens or the famous art gallery therein . , If it is the art installation in which you are primarily interested , this one hour documentary ( in four parts ) is an absolute must . It will give you a great understanding of the work of Bernini . For a visit to Rome , it's incomparable ! - https://youtu.be/Wet-VF2bDCA
Thanks Steven for the link! Really enjoyed it and I will now have a greater appreciation of Bernini when I see his works in person come September.
I'm glad you enjoyed it . If you have time , St. Teresa is in Santa Maria Della Vittoria here - https://www.google.com/maps/place/Chiesa+di+Santa+Maria+della+Vittoria/@41.9041064,12.4950534,16.5z/data=!4m13!1m7!3m6!1s0x476d079e5136ca9f:0xfdc2e58a51a25b46!2sVienna,+Austria!3b1!8m2!3d48.2081743!4d16.3738189!3m4!1s0x132f61a860b0ba55:0x59cfb4527f320948!8m2!3d41.9046942!4d12.4941003
Steven, before the video, I was going to content myself with St. Peter's and the Borghese galleria, but now Theresa is a must see for me.
